My Rambling
Thoughts
So, it rained, it snowed, it rained, it snowed. Any accumulation is
being melted by the rain. Strange for Flagstaff. Birds are devouring their suet
and bird seed. Also cleaned bathrooms as a gift to myself.
Got lots of texts, emails, and posts wishing me a happy b-day…nice.
Talked to my brother as he is back in NYC. He is heading back to Mexico in
April and I think I will join them this time. No big trips planned, so this
will be a nice break. Great Day!
Over the past few weeks, some of the regular items have
disappeared…because their website is no longer working. The most recent to fall
off the grid is Rules of Thumb. It was fun while it lasted.

Really Happened
╪ Rhode Island
Bathrooms can be dangerous places; slippery, wet tile, spiders
under the toilet seat, improperly grounded outlets, but rarely do you have to
worry about what happened to this Rhode Island man.
Jeffery Oppenheim said he was visiting his friend Andrew Pessin in Providence
on Sunday when an explosion threw him out of the home's bathroom.
"It happened in an instant like getting hit by a cannon," he said.
Pessin was in the kitchen with his sons, ages 9, 7 and 5, at the time of the
blast. "I was in the kitchen with my kids and immediately smelled the
burning smell and we just picked them all up and ran out of the house."
Oppenheim said he suffered only a bruised knee from the incident.
"I'm just very grateful it was me in there and not one of the Pessin
children who are little. They could have gotten killed," he said.
The cause of the explosion was unclear, but beef and bean burritos have not
been ruled out.

Somewhat
Useless Information
There
is a big difference, of 25-30 points, seen in IQs of those who are very obese
by the age of 4!
According
to scientific studies obese children, by the age of 4, are more likely to score
lower in IQ tests.
Scientists
say that that these findings raise a red flag.
They
underline the need to address the obesity problem as soon as possible. The
younger, the better.
Obesity
in tots can increase the risk of heart disease in 20-30 years, or hypertension
in 20 years, and diabetes in 10 years. Of cource, it can cause serious health
problems in the time being too.
The
gap in IQ scores between the children who are obese, and those of normal weight
was found to be 25-30 points.
