My Rambling Thoughts

Quite lazy Saturday with high clouds and warm temps…for winter.

Counting my blessings that I am not friends with 45. Seems like a man who doesn’t understand friendship. One false move and twitter erupts with vile comments.  Over the years I worked with a couple of people who were bi-polar. They could turn on a friend for no apparent reason. Coincidence…I don’t think so.

Speaking of bi-polar...it seems to be at the head of DOJ. For decades Sessions wanted more state control for just about everything…except abortion laws.  Now he is going after states that have approved marijuana for medical and recreational purposes.  What a waste of Federal money. Sounds like he saw Reefer Madness in his youth and stopped reading anything about it since then.

My Rambling Thoughts

A good day all the way around. First, I finally received my new passport. Notified Tumlare and am ready for my Amazon trip later this year.

I guess things don’t last forever. Hmmm. My 12-year-old microwave needed to be replaced. While cleaning it this morning I noticed that the ceiling had a huge melted spot inside the oven…not a good sign I’m sure. Wasn’t like that a few weeks ago. I headed out and found a replacement with more power. The old one was 1000 watts, the new one is 1100. Not sure anything will change when using, but it is nice to have a new one.

While shopping for the new microwave, I also found M&M’s Double Chocolate.  They are only sold in the ‘sharing size’ but I don’t expect that to happen.

I’m sure glad I’m not suffering through the winter weather over most of the US. This is much better…warm for winter, no snow to shovel. Nice.

My Rambling Thoughts

The retirement ladies wanted to see a movie, so I tagged along to ‘Pitch Perfect3’. Enjoyable and some funny jokes, if one really listens. Certainly not a movie I would see again, as once was enough. I must say, I have seen parts of the first movie on TV, but never made it to the end. This one I did stay till the end.

As many on the east coast are suffering from snow and wind, we are still having early fall or late spring weather.  The local paper had an article yesterday about our plight:

·        0.01” of precipitation between 10/1 and 12/31…3^rd year this has happened since 1899.

·        4^th consecutive year with above normal temps in our town.

·        Only 76.2” of snow in 2017…23” below normal.

Hoping for moisture very soon.

Our city council had a citizen petition to ask the council to pass a resolution to Impeach 45. It was presented to the council but couldn’t get a second so was dropped. I must say, I am not happy with 45 and would like to see his reign end, but…that will put Pence in the office and I believe would be worse. The tweets would stop but Pence has some very strange ideas about life in the US in 2018. Pence would take us back in time and not in a good way.
