Fire
continues…wind is light. US89 is partially open with delays, 740 firefighters
on the line, smoke is moving north. It’s not over until the fat lady sings…just
a note, she hasn’t even left the hotel for the venue. Stage 3 fire restrictions
began today. Now to just enforce those rules.

My traveling
buddy Ed said that the Flag smoke made its way to Colorado Springs and turned
the moon a bright orange. WOW!
Last night I
cooked breaded pork chops in my air-fryer. Turned out amazing.
The Feds
raised the interest rate by the highest amount in 40+ years, I hope slows
inflation.
Happy to see
that the Avalanche won the first game of the Stanley Cup. They won in OT and it
was a thrill to watch.

Asimow tells Popular Mechanics. At about almost 10,000 degrees Fahrenheit,
that's hot.
US Flag Myths
Myth #9:
Only a veteran's coffin can be draped with the American flag
"Nowhere
in [the Flag Code] does it say that the flag may only cover the casket of a
veteran,” said Hendricks, noting that the myth may stem from the fact that the
Department of Veterans Affairs provides flags for the services of veterans and
active-duty service members. “However, there's nothing in the language of the
Flag Code that would prevent anyone else from having a flag that covers their
casket."
When a flag
is used to cover a coffin, it should be placed with the union — the blue field
with stars — at the head and over the left shoulder. The flag should not be
lowered into the grave or allowed to touch the ground.
