Yesterday’s
clouds didn’t bring any monsoon moisture here…hoping that today’s clouds will
be much more generous. Local police and fire crews are staying busy with small
fires around town.
My
Bell’s Palsy is slowly leaving my face. I can now eat without drooling. Better
everyday!
I
have never visited Saudi Arabia; my only contact with a Saudi has been in
Dubai. It was only seeing them walking around, just like me. It was always men
walking in groups with their long white clothes and the covered women following
behind. The news paints a very dark picture of their way of life, especially for
women. Now they want to change that image. The leadership formed LIV golf to add
to their changing sport’s image. The PGA wasn’t happy. With a billion dollars,
the Saudi’s are now joining the PGA. I wonder if sports will have the world see
the Saudis in a different light. I just don’t see how this can have anyone forget
9-11 or chopped up journalists.

Watergate
The
Watergate Scandal is considered one of the most significant political scandals
in US history. The scandal involved the Nixon administration, which was accused
of breaking into the Democratic National Committee (DNC) headquarters in the Watergate
complex to spy on their political opponents. The scandal eventually led to
Nixon's resignation and several White House officials being indicted and
convicted.
