Today’s Thoughts
It
has been a while since I posted. Since my last post I have had trouble walking.
I’ve been using a cane for everything. Since yesterday, I only need it for
stairs. Drs. Have tried many things. They have concluded it is bursitis and the
statin I take for cholesterol. I am happy that I am improving and getting
better every day. Sadly, I had to cancel
my Canadian Cruise. I just couldn’t see my walking with luggage and walking on excursions
for 10 days. I let them know last week. They were sorry to hear of my issues
but understood. Both promised lots of photos on the trip to my social network.
This
morning I got a call from my brother. The other day, after dinner, he didn’t
realize his foot had fallen asleep before he stood up. When he did, he heard a
crack and pain. They went to the ER in Merida. He had broken his little toe. He
had surgery and got a plate and 7 screws. He must wear boot for 3 weeks, get
the stiches out in two weeks and should be fine. The total bill was $3000. He
said the care was very good.

Charles Darwin invented his own wheeled
office chair. The famous researcher found that, in his study area, he would
have to go through the rigmarole of walking about the office from bench to
bench, desk to desk. So, to maximize his productivity and save him some
valuable study time, he decided to attach wheels to his luxurious armchair.
