A very nice spring day, just a tad cool.

I just learned that Melania is Roman Catholic. It makes sense. Just hadn’t ever really thought about her religion. She and Donald attended the funeral of Pope Francis. The Vatican asked that those attending wear all black. Melania did, Donald wore a blue suit and tie, Biden wore a black suit with a blue tie. It is sad that neither man could follow the simple request.

I’m not even sure if I learned this one in school or just from the cult-following of the movie Titanic when it came out. So not only is this movie the worst love story ever (Rose was awful, admit it), but it left out the crucial detail that there was a fire in the hull for three weeks before the collision.

Flag is having a windy spring weekend. The only good thing is that there is no sand to blow around. Wind and Spring are always synonyms here at 7000’.

The arresting of a serving judge in the courthouse parking lot is a first, and hopefully last, for me. Are they sending a not to subtle message to the judiciary branch of our government?

I don’t want, nor have I ever wanted, violent criminals to live in the US. I believe every person deserves due process when being called a criminal. I was saddened when I saw that two families were deported with no due process. To make it worse, 3 children under 7 years old were deported in this action. One of the children has a rare form of cancer, was under treatment, and was deported with no medication or review by a qualified physician. That is simply inhumane.

Trump is proposing to stop all funds to Head Start, a very important program for children living in poverty. He also plans to stop funding for Meals on Wheels, a blow to elderly Americans.

Getting ready for a very windy weekend. Gusts are expected up to 45 mph.

I was surprised when my SS check posted. I was expecting about $150, but it was for $320. Due to the problems at SS, I’ll wait to next month to see if that $320 continues.

I can’t believe Sec. of Defense Hegseth is still in his job. He should not be running our Defense Department. How can any Secretary of any department have a unsecured internet connection placed in their personal office. It is dumbfounding.

Betsy Ross made the first American flag

This one hasn’t been disproved; it just hasn’t been proven. Ross died in 1836; 34 years later, her grandson told the story of his grandmother being personally approached by George Washington to sew the flag for the Historical Society of Pennsylvania. Everyone just took his word for it, along with signed affidavits from other family members.
