My Rambling Thoughts

Another great day after a nice long monsoon rain last night. Doing laundry of linens. More rain on the horizon…yeah!

One of my neighbors is outside with a toddler and they are blowing huge bubbles that are floating by my office window. Very cool.

So another day, another odd comment from our leader. Watching the footage of the Friday night protest with Tiki Torches was frightening. Listening to the leader talk about the next day rally and he death missed the point again. He is proud to say ‘Muslim terrorist’ but won’t say ‘White supremacy’ is just odd.

My Rambling Thoughts

Took an early morning walk, beautiful day. I don’t usually shop on weekends because that was the only time I could shop for my entire career on the Rez. I usually let the people who need to shop do it on the weekends. Today, I needed a couple of things from Home Depot. Got what I needed and was back home in about 20 minutes. Nice to have them so close by. Now I am awaiting today’s monsoon.

Turned on the news when I got home as thought I was watching a documentary for the mid-1960’s. Turns out it was today’s news. We are all allowed to have different ideas and we are able to speak them in our country.  The addition of violence makes our country look rather Neanderthal. One of the protestors was David Duke who stated on CNN that his people voted for Trump to bring back our country and this is how they are going to do it. Wake up Dave, it is 2017 and we are a country of various colors. Live with it or leave.

In my travels, I have visited places where Free speech and free ideas are not popular with the government. Usually, if a provocative question is asked to a guide, the answer is the government line. It is obvious that they do want to discuss the matter further. I do want to live in those countries. Visit, yes; live, no.

My Rambling Thoughts

The monsoon returned yesterday. Lots of lightning and thunder, thus no post yesterday. A nice gentle rain started about 6p and continued well into the night. So nice! And it is clouding up and cooling off for another round.

All this threat talk is getting boring. First, if there was really a fear of bombs, the military in S. Korea, Japan, and the US would be doing things…they are not. Second, there appears now to be a reopened ‘back channel’ communication with N. Korea and that is a very positive development. Third, China has said they would not back N. Korea if they strike first, but would if the US strikes first. Our Emperor Has No Clothes is busy spouting words to the Mouse the Roared. As many are starting to wonder about our Emperor, his base continues to offer him cheers for being so loud. I already read both stories many times and I know the ending of each. I just wish that his backers would read a whole lot faster. This has just become another of our Emperor’s diversion tactics.
