My Rambling Thoughts

It is so hard to believe it is the middle of November with these warm temps and no precipitation. Wind does nothing but dry things out.

Did some quick shopping this morning for things I needed since last week…the trip I cancelled when I realized my wallet was at home.

I must say I am torn over the recent rash of sexual misconduct allegations against politicians and entertainers.

First, I am sorry these allegations didn’t come out at the time of their occurrence, but I fully understand. #METOO is long overdue. I once had a supervisor tell me that ‘we would be married in heaven.’ She was LDS and their cult believes that a member can have anyone baptized, including those who have passed. Same, according to her, can happen with marriage. While I am not a church goer, I did talk to the family priest. He assured me this was hogwash.

Second, these revelations are just what our enemies want to show that American Democracy doesn’t work. It certainly shows that there are people with power in this country will do just about anything they choose.

Cloudy day…no precip. We need some precipitation soon.

Had to pick up a script and got my annual flu shot. Hoping for some good news in the Bronco’s game tonight.

Started looking at ticket prices for my Christmas trip to Chicago. I will buy them on Tuesday or Wednesday. Just getting ready so the final price won’t freak me out. It will be great to see my brother and his wife and her family.

One of our best group discussions last night. Everyone in the group was amazed at how little s/he didn’t know about this kingdom. This is certainly an area to keep an eye on as changes are happening rapidly.  Glad I am part of such an astute group. Have to hope they remain friendly to the west and the US.

Family US Flag in the window to honor Vets.

Finished my readings and caught up on the Saudi Arabia news. Turns out, they too have sect problems with several Muslim groups. To add to that, when the West divided up tribes to make ‘countries’ they goofed, as always. Few tribal leaders will give up power or beliefs.  It is a bigger mess than I realized.

Bizarre News

*----------- The Dangers of Alcohol -----------*

Casey Lynn Willey, 27, was being removed from the Gainesville, Florida, nightclub by a bouncer when she allegedly struck him with the case of beer. Willey was being removed from the club because she refused to leave after the country music nightclub had closed after 3 a.m. Authorities handcuffed her, but she tried to escape while police conducted an investigation. She also refused to give her name or date of birth, and was violent toward officers. Willey eventually gave authorities the information they needed before aggressively stepping toward an officer. The bouncer did not wish to press charges. Willey was arrested, charged with disorderly conduct (and abuse of alcohol). Fortunately there were no injuries because she hit the bouncer with...wait for it...Lite beer!
