My Rambling Thoughts
Great way to start the new year: laundry and cleaning. Guess things don’t change that much.
Made it to the ball drop in NYC…glad I wasn’t there…very cold. Didn’t make it to the Pinecone drop here. Very strange, I went to bed in 2017 and didn’t wake up well rested until 2018. Hmmm
It is still warm (for January) and dry here at 7000’. Weatherman says we may get precipitation by the weekend…but he has said that before and nothing arrives. Not holding my breath.
Hopefully sometime this week I will again start to get my days of the week straight. Haven't known or cared what day it is since Dec. 22. It’s Monday but sure feels like a Saturday. Good thing my phone shows the day and date.
Found two friends from my Rez days on FB. Both are doing good and enjoying life. For all the stuff on FB, I must say, I enjoy getting in touch with people I haven’t seen for years and years. I hardly post anything but do make comments on people’s sites which led to finding those two friends. And one of my former employees posted a very nice comment about my time at TCBS. At Tuba one year, he and I went from classroom to classroom; he sang Happy Birthday in Navajo to that day’s birthday children, I gave them some school supplies. After a parental complaint, we also did the children who had birthdays on weekends and vacations. With almost 400 children in my department, I was quite an undertaking, but worth it.
