An unnamed man emerged with his groceries from an Albertson's supermarket in Las Cruces, New Mexico, on March 28, to find that his car had been overtaken by a swarm of an estimated 15,000 honeybees, according to the Las Cruces Fire Department. The man, who had borrowed the car, had left the back window down during his 10-minute trip inside the store, and the bees took up residence in the back seat. The New York Times reported he called 911, and responding firefighters turned to Jesse Johnson, 37, an off-duty firefighter who keeps bees as a hobby. Johnson brought an empty hive box treated with lemongrass oil ("It really mimics the scent of the queen," he said) and lured the swarm out of the car. Nice day with no complaints.

The vaccine rollout is slowly moving forward. Sadly, Mississippi and Alabama have less than 25% of their people vaccinated. Colorado is ranked 17^th and good old AZ is ranked 34^th in total vaccines in arms.  

I learned a little more about the ‘audit’ that is taking place in AZ over our 2020 Presidential ballots. They are now scanning ALL ballots for fragments of bamboo because the head of the Cyber Ninjas read that in 1963…during JFK’s leadership, the Chinese Communists started their plan to destroy the American voting system. This ninja believes that the Chinese shipped 40K marked ballots to AZ where they somehow were dropped in ballot boxes in the Phoenix area. The people who believe this guy may want to buy a bridge I have for sale.

On April 5, Don Muchow, 59, of Plano, Texas, completed the 2,761-mile journey he began on Feb. 1, 2020, running from Disneyland in California to Walt Disney World in Florida, to raise awareness of Type 1 diabetes, which he has. He originally planned to complete his Mouse-to-Mouse run in a little over three months, The Orange County Register reported, but COVID-19 changed that, and while Muchow still completed the run in about 90 days, those days were spread out over 14 months as he adjusted for the pandemic. "I never considered quitting even once," Muchow said. "I want every single person with Type 1 diabetes to see that we can still dream big." [Orange County Register, 4/3/2021]

Doors and windows wide open. Such a nice day. These are the days that remind me how much I enjoy this town.

Last night there were some strange lights in our night sky here at 7000’. While many of us figured this was an invasion from outer space, it wasn’t. Soon after the lights were spotted, our local astronomers were announcing that it was Starlink from the SpaceX launch in FL. I am not a conspiracy guy but will keep my eye out for little green men for a few days.

At the beginning of the Pandemic, there was lots of internet talk about an upcoming baby boom with so many couples staying home 24-7.  Some numbers are coming in and the internet was wrong. In fact, for the first time in very long time the US births is lower than the deaths. That is a scary stat that could change America forever.

There is a problem at the Grand Canyon…too many buffalo. The pandemic kept visitors away and the buffalo raised their birth rate. The National Park Service needs to shrink the herd by about a dozen females. They decided to do a lottery for buffalo hunters to shoot the buffalo. Each applicant must show they are good shots and have hunting experience. In the first few hours to sign up for the lottery there were 45,000 applicants. There are only 12 tags.
