About two hundred feral cats prowl the park at Disneyland, doing their part to control rodents.

My Sometimes-Long-Winded Thoughts

Nice fall day.

Headed out to get some shopping done, then stopped to get my other two tires on my vehicle. Much faster than last time…I had an appointment this time. My only reaction to my Covid booster was a little soreness at the injection site. I’m OK with that.

I’m ready for a relaxing weekend. I’m sure something will come up to do. The joy of retirement.

Trivia

Today there are about 88 million pet cats in the United States, which makes them the most popular pet in the country!

Cats have 230 bones, while humans only have 206.

Cats have an extra organ that allows them to taste scents on the air, which is why your cat stares at you with her mouth open from time to time.

Cats use their whiskers to "feel" the world around them to determine which small spaces they can fit into. A cat's whiskers are generally about the same width as its body (this is why you should never cut their whiskers).

My Sometimes-Long-Winded Thoughts

Our retirement group met for lunch. Nice Italian and a local favorite. Good conversation, good food. Nice!

The incidents of threats at local school board meetings is simply growing. I get that local school boards are elected. Some like the choice, others don’t. That is no excuse to threaten board members at the meetings, online, in their cars, and at their homes. If you want them out, start a recall petition, get the signatures, and oust them. Follow the rules. I get why the FBI is getting involved. It is not stifling the parents from expressing their thoughts. The conservatives certainly has this issue wrong. Even ‘slap a teacher’ is trending on Tik Toc. What is happening to our country?
