Thoughts for the day

Snow and icicles are melting nicely. Not sure if this will be real spring or another fake spring.

Continuous Happening Amidst Newly Generating Experience= CHANGE. I found this interesting.

Doge is hitting TSA K-9 units with a 30-day hold for possible cuts in vet services and dog food contracts. That is inhumane.

In another greatly planned move, DOGE is requesting things dealing with DEI be removed for records. This now includes the loss of photos of the Enola Gay, the plane that dropped the WWII bomb on Hiroshima. It was marked as expanding the homosexual agenda.

The Bald Eagle's Nest

The nest of the bald eagle is a symbol of home and family, representing the bonds that tie communities together. Just as eagles care for their young, this symbol reflects the American value of family and the protection of loved ones.

The nest serves as a reminder of the nurturing aspects of American culture. It highlights the importance of community and the connections that sustain individuals.

The eagle's nest is a metaphor for the nation's commitment to fostering a sense of belonging and support. It embodies the values of care, protection, and unity within the American family.

Thoughts for the day

The sky is deep blue, there are no clouds, the sun is melting the latest 8” of snow. The HOA has been negligent in shoveling during the last two storms. Luckily one of my neighbors has been doing the main walkway, so I just must do the 10’ up to my door. Nice. I’ll go out a little later and clean off my vehicle.

I’m busy reading for our next discussion group. I’m doing the presentation on The Evolution of US Leadership in the Global Economy: Dilemmas and Choices. It should be a good discussion next Saturday.

The National Anthem

"The Star-Spangled Banner," the national anthem of the United States, is a tribute to the resilience and bravery of the American people. Written by Francis Scott Key during the War of 1812, it captures the nation's spirit in the face of adversity.

The lyrics celebrate the enduring commitment to freedom and the triumph of the human spirit. Performed at various national events, the anthem fosters a sense of unity and pride among citizens.

Its powerful words resonate with those who cherish the values of liberty and justice. The anthem is more than a song; it's a testament to the nation's enduring legacy.

The Pledge of Allegiance

The Pledge of Allegiance is a solemn promise of loyalty to the flag and the republic it represents. Recited in schools and public gatherings, it underscores the values of patriotism and unity.

The phrase "one nation, under God," added in 1954, highlights the role of faith in American life. This pledge serves as a reminder of the collective commitment to uphold the principles of democracy and freedom.

It reinforces the idea that, despite differences, Americans are bound by a shared vision of liberty. The Pledge of Allegiance is more than a ritual; it's a declaration of allegiance to the nation's ideals.
