Thoughts for the day

A warm cloudy day. No precipitation is expected today.

I took my taxes in this morning. The guy who has done them for the last 10+ years is out on leave, due to back problems. The Navajo Lady who did my taxes was great. I’ll be getting a nice chunk of change in a few weeks. No complaints.

I talked to Mary yesterday. She is out of rehab from surgery and is at her home in Phoenix. She sounded very upbeat and can’t wait to get back in the pool.

Our Governor, Katie Hobbs, is displaying the Tribal Flags that DOGE removed from the VA. The are viewable in the atrium of the capitol building in Phoenix. Good work.

Thoughts for the day

A great spring day. I sure hope this stays around.

I called my Dentist’s office this morning and my dentist answered. He has closed his practice and is not selling it. He gave me a recommendation and I called and made an appointment. I’ll see how well is when I seem him later this month.

I called the gastro office my PCP recommended. They need ‘at least 72 hours to get a referral into their system'. Not what I wanted to hear. The capsules my PCP prescribed are helping a bit.

A journalist was invited online to a US high security group chat with US high officials. I agree with many that this was a major breech of security. It is kind of enjoyable to watch the administration try to explain what happened. I am glad that the Atlantic journalist, erroneously,  in that group chose to keep the exact details secret.

Nightline is celebrating 45 years on air. Back when the Hostage Crisis started, I watched it every night. Then I tapered off until I wasn’t watching it at all. I did DVR last night’s celebration. I’ve missed a lot, so now I am DVR-ing it nightly.
