Thoughts for the day

Spring = windy and that’s what Flagstaff has today.

The Greer fire, south of Flagstaff, is now 15000 acres with little containment.

It is sad that the Supreme Court must revisit Birthright citizenship.

I should have gotten my latest crown today. After fitting it and then x-raying it he decided it didn’t set right. So, now to start with a new temporary and then a new crown. I’ll get refitted at the end of the month.

In Flagstaff we always have spring new road work. Getting to the dentist on the west side of Flag is a different route every time. Then today they are working on the main road [highway 89] to get to I-40 to make it to the west side. When I got off I-40 at Country Club I had to wait for 8 cycles of the stop light to get to Highway 89. Then it was 1 lane in both directions. It took me about 15 minutes to get to the dentist, the return trip was 40 minutes. Gotta love construction.

Another windy day, just spring at 7000’.

There was much damage in KY and Missouri…another sign of spring.

It was 45 years ago that Mount St. Helen erupted. One of our teachers at Tuba was from that area. Her family sent her a box of the ash. Mary then had any interested teachers stop by and get some to show to their classes. An interesting educational experience. I still have a vile that she gave me.

A Mexican Navy ship clipped the Brooklyn Bridge. The result was 2 dead crew members and destroyed 3 of the ship’s masts. An investigation will better inform us as to why this occurred.

Just another windy spring day.

Over the past few days, we have learned that Biden did not have his full facilities and that his administration was covering it up. It is no wonder that so many Americans are losing faith in our government. I get that it is difficult to watch a boss or a colleague as they no longer perform as before, yet won’t willing step aside. This is when those with true character step in. Talking about the President makes this much more difficult, but isolation and covering for him is not the answer people want. The constitution allows for a President to leave office during their term and the Vice President steps in. Maybe our country would have been in much different shape it Biden had resigned much earlier. It would have been a shock for sure, but the country could have gotten used to Kamala as President and many would have felt better about voting for her. Biden did himself no favors by staying in office and certainly sent a message that he didn’t think Kamala could do the job. Just sad.
