My Free
Rambling Thoughts
Had an unwanted angioedema episode today…started out differently, but took my pills when I realized what it was and ended up not being too bad. Just a discomfort I don’t enjoy. We did have a very informative discussion on the Euro. It is a very complicated issue with such a simple concept…a United States of Europe….same currency…easier trade with countries…trading friends don’t start wars with each other. The idea started after WWII and the part about not going to war has worked very well. The rest still needs a lot of time. The financial advisor drama took a turn. Last night my advisor and one of her friends were talking privately. Today the friend called me for an update. Seems the lady that was ‘buying’ the business has been skimming about $1200/month for about a year from the profits the company receives. According to the story, that lady has ‘disappeared’ with lawyers and PD on her trail. I have a call in for my former financial advisor to call me. I called her cell and hope that she will return my call. Whatever happens, my investments are safe.

Unusual Fact of the Day
After going into heat, an un-spayed female ferret can actually die if she does not mate. She will remain in heat until she mates, and if she does not, the excess estrogen will cause anemia and eventual death.Joke-of-the-day
After every flight, pilots fill out a form called a gripe sheet, which conveys to the mechanics problems encountered with the aircraft during the flight that need repair or correction. The mechanics read and correct the problem, and then respond in writing on the lower half of the form what remedial action was taken, and the pilot reviews the gripe sheets before the next flight.Never let it be said that ground crews and engineers lack a sense of humor! Here are some actual logged maintenance complaints and problems as submitted by Qantas pilots and the solution recorded by maintenance engineers.(P = the problem logged by the pilot.)(S = the solution and action taken by the engineers.)

CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. - Authorities in New York state said a man was holding his 8-month-old daughter when he was arrested for allegedly selling heroin. Suffolk County police said officers conducting surveillance saw Tyreek Langs, 23, carrying the baby in his arms Thursday in Central Islip when he approached another person and allegedly sold heroin, WCBS-AM, New York, reported Friday. "The child was content, the child is being held by the father and he's approaching the buyer to complete the narcotics transaction with the child in his arms," Suffolk County police Lt. James Rooney said. "To him, it looked like the usual course of business, the way the officers observed him." Langs had a quantity of heroin on him when he was arrested, police said. The baby was released into the custody of her great-grandmother. Child protective services were notified of the incident, police said.

All ‘data’ info is from the internet
sites and is usually checked with at least one other source, but I have learned
that every site has mistakes and sadly once out the information is out there,
many sites simply copy it and is therefore difficult to verify. Also for events
occurring before the Gregorian calendar was adopted [1582] the dates may not be
totally accurate.
