My
Rambling Thoughts
Really enjoying
the Olympics. Opening Ceremony was outstanding. I always enjoy the march in…with
all the athletes, the flags, and all the anticipation for the days ahead. The
program was very impressive. I didn’t
realize that S. Korea was a world leader in technology. The torch lighting was
nice, but nothing can ever beat the Barcelona ’92 lighting with the archer.
Spending the day
watching the Olympics. Sure wish there
were fewer commercials. I also wish there was an international channel carrying
them. When I was in Scotland the Olympics were happening far away. We didn’t
watch much of them, but for some reason, the Scots TV did not zero in on
American athletes. All the back stories I did see after a day of touring were
about Scots. Hmmm.
Our little
mountain town is under ‘high wind waring’ and they ain’t kidding. A good day to
stay inside…and maybe a tiny bit of snow before the evening ends. I can only
hope.
My haircut lady won’t return to work until Feb
19. I couldn’t wait that long so I tried a new stylist. She did a good job.

All ‘data’ info is from the internet
sites and is usually checked with at least one other source, but I have learned
that every site contains mistakes and sadly once the information is out there,
many sites simply copy it and is therefore difficult to verify. Also for events
occurring before the Gregorian calendar was adopted [1582] the dates may not be
totally accurate.
