My
Rambling Thoughts
Got my monthly
computer checkup. Not good news. I had over a dozen times my IP address had
been stolen by someone connected to Bitcoins. According to the computer guy,
they steal your IP address, then buy/sell Bitcoins from another computer, using
my IP address so that any tracing of the sale says that I did it. WTF? Had to
call the bank and credit card company to insure that since Friday my accounts
had not bought or sold Bitcoins. Then the computer guy tried to get rid of the
IP addresses. He couldn’t. As soon as he deleted them, they would pop up again.
Very scary. So for $300 he turned me over to a specialist who blocked them with
his magic wand and he can use his magic wand 3 more times in the next 5 years
if it happens again. All this took almost 5 hours. But now my computer is
‘safe’.
I have very few
funds in the stock market, so the last two days of craziness haven’t bothered
me. But today’s graph must be scary for those who have 401K’s, or big money in
the market. I’m a little concerned
because this could lead to inflation. I wonder why 45 didn’t mention this
‘correction’ in any of his tweets?

All ‘data’ info is from the internet
sites and is usually checked with at least one other source, but I have learned
that every site contains mistakes and sadly once the information is out there,
many sites simply copy it and is therefore difficult to verify. Also for events
occurring before the Gregorian calendar was adopted [1582] the dates may not be
totally accurate.
