My
Rambling Thoughts
No major wind.
Yeah.
Good day for
completing things:
a. Got
my pedi…looks like new owners, lots of new people. My lady wasn’t there. Had a
very nice young lady, who did a great job.
b.
Ended up at REI to get my travel
needs. Got what I needed. Probably paid more than necessary, but tired of
running around looking. REI was my 3rd and final stop.
c. Reviewed
all the documents FOCUS has sent for the trip. Read about some new procedures
which sound fine. Figured out how much small cash I need for tipping. Getting
VERY excited.
While at REI one
of the workers and I started talking. He is the first human to hear I’m going
to the Amazon and not mentioned the bugs, snakes, spiders, etc. All he said was
‘How long you gonna be there?’ ‘About 2 weeks’, Are you trekking that whole
time?’ ‘No it’s a river cruise with some light trekking.’ ‘Have a great time!’ ‘That’s
the plan.’ Very friendly and nice young man.

Disclaimer: All opinions are mine…feel
free to agree or disagree.
All ‘data’ info is from the internet
sites and is usually checked with at least one other source, but I have learned
that every site contains mistakes and sadly once the information is out there,
many sites simply copy it and is therefore difficult to verify. Also for events
occurring before the Gregorian calendar was adopted [1582] the dates may not be
totally accurate.
