My Rambling Thoughts
What a great spring day. Got to take a nice long walk into the forest today. It’s dry, but magnificent.

Cheryl is in Hawaii and Mary is in Phoenix…so no retirement group lunch this week.

Got a call from my tax guy. I pick them up Saturday. He has always told me if there is bad news. He didn’t say anything so I will see. And I didn’t ask.

When I applied for my new passport a few months ago, it asked if I currently had my passport in my possession. I checked yes, then somewhere I read that my packet should include my passport. I sent it all off and got my new passport. But no old passport. I was a little upset with myself, figuring I shouldn’t have mailed it to them. Then yesterday, about a six weeks after getting the new passport, I got an envelope, with a hand-written address, with my old passport with two hole punched in the bar-code area. Sure took someone a very long time to punch those two holes and address the envelope. Now I am a happy camper.

All ‘data’ info is from the internet sites and is usually checked with at least one other source, but I have learned that every site contains mistakes and sadly once the information is out there, many sites simply copy it and is therefore difficult to verify. Also for events occurring before the Gregorian calendar was adopted [1582] the dates may not be totally accurate.
