My Rambling Thoughts
It’s been a busy few days.

Dr. visit was a report. Just found out that one of the thyroid meds I take has to be taken alone, first thing in the morning. I’ve been taking it for a few years and was never told that. Three months ago it was a little high. Took ½ a pill one day a week, now it is a tad low. So she checks to see how I take the pill and learned I take it in the morning with a couple of others. Hopefully this new procedure will solve the problem.

I had a good Chinese lunch with our retirement group Thursday.

Yesterday I started the post, accidently hit the wrong keys and closed it without saving.  Wrist it healing well, but still typing with just one hand. It was too hot to start over. Then I called and found my 2nd pair of new glasses was awaiting pick up, so now I have two new pairs, both with UV protection, and both scratch resistance. Happy camper! The lady said she didn’t want to send a text message Thursday evening as some company policy doesn’t let them send late night messages. And then she forgot to send it Friday morning because they were soooo busy. When I picked them up the manager was fitting me so I told her the story. She apologized and said she would talk to the young lady about it. I told her I’d been buying glasses there since the 1970’s and just laughed when I heard the lady’s story.

This morning I figured out how to get my portable cooler downstairs with only one arm. It is now cooling very well. The last two days have been in the low 90’s/high 80’s. And there as only been a small breeze.

Our discussion group meets tonight, so after setting up my cooler I did the readings. Should be a good discussion…the topic is US/Russia relations after the fall of communism. Since I’m doing the Trans-Siberian RR trip in about a year, it is nice to learn more about modern day Russia. With the current administration here, I hope 45 doesn’t do something stupid with the relations.

All ‘data’ info is from the internet sites and is usually checked with at least one other source, but I have learned that every site contains mistakes and sadly once the information is out there, many sites simply copy it and is therefore difficult to verify.
