My
Rambling Thoughts
Been busy the
last few days. Friday Cheryl called that she was coming to town. Hadn’t seen
her for about a month, so we had a nice very long lunch and caught up. She had
been back in Michigan and surrounding states visiting relatives. She had a
great time.
Yesterday I
headed to the annual Navajo Art show at the local museum. Saw a few friends,
saw some great art work, and had a good time. So nice to see the younger
generations producing amazing art.
Got a call
yesterday evening from one of our discussion group members. It was to inform me
that her mother-in-law had passed at 101 years old. The mother, father, son and
daughters had escaped Germany during the war. I had heard the great stories of
their tromping through fields, in the dark, over fences, with small bags to get
away. They ended up in Canada. She spent the rest of her life there. Klaus and
his sister were holding her hand as she passed. Sad to here but before and
after the war, she had a great life.

All ‘data’ info is from the internet
sites and is usually checked with at least one other source, but I have learned
that every site contains mistakes and sadly once the information is out there,
many sites simply copy it and is therefore difficult to verify. Also for events
occurring before the Gregorian calendar was adopted [1582] the dates may not be
totally accurate.
