My Rambling Thoughts
When I first woke up I didn’t know if it was cloudy or smoky. By 7a I discovered it was clouds, and they are full of water, which is being dumped on our town. Guess the monsoon ain’t quite over yet. Not complaining, just reporting. We always need moisture, even if it in inconvenient to my plans.

Today was my 'service comp date', meaning the day in 1971 when I became an official government employee and a teacher at Shonto Boarding School beginning a 36 year career. Sadly, it is also the day in 1994 when my dad passed away at 80 years old. Tomorrow is the day my mom passed at 89 in 2008.

Hospital called this morning at 9a to review procedures for my plate removal on the 28th. Best news was that I don’t have to show up until 8:30a that day. For the first wrist surgery I had to be there at 6a. This is all good.

Remember when Canada was our quiet friend who was always there to help. Not so much anymore. Canada hasn’t changed, we have.
