Today’s Quote
What we really are matters more than
what other people think of us.

Random Tidbits
Eduard Haas III, the Austrian inventor of the
flat, sort of chalky candy PEZ, came up with the name by riffing on the German
word for peppermint—Pfefferminz. And to truly dominate trivia night,
One more: Renato Bialetti, the guy who
popularized the stove-top, octagonal espresso maker that still bears his name,
also asked that his remains be buried in the receptacle that was most important
to him in life. When he died in 2016 at the age of 93, his ashes were placed in
one of his pots and buried next to his late wife.

My Rambling Thoughts
It’s been snowing
on and off since last night. We have about 2” of the predicted foot so far. The
weather guy still sez a foot, so I guess this will continue to President’s Day.
Changed linens
and towels this morning and washed and dried the dirty ones...even washed and
dried my great bamboo pillows. Even used those scent packets for the pillows.
What else to do on this snowy day?
This is
interesting…each business has 100 employees. Half of those employees are
undocumented. Business provides paperwork to show they are here legally. Who
owns these 5 businesses? None other than 45’s family. Hmmm. And one of the
former maids who cleaned 45’s residence at one of the golf clubs will be
sitting in the House tonight during 45’s speech. Somehow, I don’t think he will
recognize her during his speech. But I’ll watch it, just in case he does.
Wonder how Jared
is doing with his Middle East Peace negotiations no that it has been announced
that US military arms are passing through Saudi Arabia to the Yemen civil war
and ending up in the ‘wrong’ hands. Hmmm.
