Random Tidbits
There goes another summer. In case you
don't pay attention to this kind of thing, today is the Autumnal equinox, that
means the first day of fall.
There are two equinoxes every year -
in September and March - when the sun shines directly on the equator and the
length of day and night is nearly equal.
That is what 'equinox' means, it comes
from the Latin aequus (equal) and nox (night).

My Rambling Thoughts
Hard to keep up with the hourly news
breaks. During waking hours, the DC ‘breaking news’ is almost constant on every
news channel and most of the network stations. Very hard to tell what will
happen with all this scurrying. I’m just sitting by, waiting to see.
The PBS Country Music documentary just
gets better. I have learned so much about Country Music, and there are still
episodes coming. My old iPod is going to have some great country music I had
forgotten about, for when I travel.
I have never traveled with the Thomas
Cook company. Counting my blessings that Focus Travel Club uses, through
special arrangements, Tumlare and Joe Green, who would never leave anyone stranded
anywhere in the world! Same is true of the company that showed me Africa on 6
different adventures…HLO Tours.
I continue my battle with the company
that gives me my CPAP supplies. After 3 trips to the store, about 5 miles away,
I still don’t have all I need. I will return later today with trip number 4 to
get the right ‘hose’ for my mask. Trip 5 will be to pick it up, as it probably
has to come from Prescott. Such a silly way to spend time. I complained this
morning to Sherri about their poor service. Her response was: Well does call to
make appointments. I informed my PCP does. Her response was, well we don’t.
Then when I got home, I called her for the extension tubing she said: I’m not a
respiratory therapist. So I asked to talk to her and she gave me the Cottonwood
number. The therapist was out, but the guy who answered tried to help, but
couldn’t. I talked to the owner and he said he was sorry and just take the
whole machine into the Flag store so they could see what I wanted. Crazy!
