My
Rambling Thoughts
The
Covid-19 thing has taken over the news. I get it. It's bad. It will
not get better for a while. I get it: stay home; that's all I can do.
I'm limiting myself to NPR when I wake up, and one broadcast of the
nightly news. It's all I can take.
Sad
news on FB. One of our Focus Travelers lost her husband last night.
Gloria Beniot Leonard has done several trips with the group. She and
Mark were married 49 years. She is a great traveler and a strong
lady. Condolences to her and the family.
On a
lighter note: Trevor Noah, of the Daily Show, has a great idea. When
our President makes a false statement, they should simply bleep him.
Run his speeches on a 15 second delay and bleep any false statements.
It would certainly add a different noise to the daily briefings.
I had
to make a quick run to the CPAP supplier to get new hoses and masks
for my machine. I also found out that since distilled water is
impossible to find due to the virus, Britta or Zero water filters
will work just fine. I still have a little distilled water, but now
have a good work around until distilled water returns to the shelves.
My mom always used distilled water in her steam iron to prevent
buildup. As a seamstress, that iron go a very hard work out. I'm not
sure what else distilled water is used for, and my guess is that
people were just grabbing gallons of water off the shelves, without
reading the labels or looking at the colored caps.
