Random Tidbits
A number of researchers argue that while the
human body is capable of digesting meat, our bodies are actually designed to be
herbivores. For example, the human molars are similar to those of an herbivore,
flat and blunt, which make them good for grinding, not gnashing and tearing.
Several studies show that
a plant-based diet increases the body's metabolism, causing the body to burn
calories up to 16 percent faster than the body would on a meat-based diet for
at least the first 3 hours after meals.
Some research suggests
that if a man avoids red meats, it improves the sex appeal of his body odor.

My Rambling Thoughts
Monsoon continues. Happy Camper here! I so enjoy the
cool breeze and the smell of fresh rain.
The House Education and Labor Committee requested the
head of the CDC and a few others from the CDC to testify about school opening
this fall. The Trump administration response was that the CDC must remain
focused on the pandemic and will not be available for the hearing. Hmmm
I did some laundry, including washing several of my
masks made by friends. I wasn’t sure how the masks would do but all 3 turned
out fine.
Shaving has been my least favorite ‘adulthood’ task. I
was shaving every day at 16. When I got to college, I switched from an electric
to a safety razor. I still have an electric that I take on adventures, just in case.
I have tried almost every safety razor when they come on the market…the two blade,
the three blade, even a five blade. They were OK, but not spectacular. I’ve
also tried shaving cream, a shaving cream heater, gels, oils, everything.
Again, they were OK, but not spectacular. A few months ago, I tried Harry’s
razor and shaving cream. Combined they are spectacular. Daily shaving now lasts
the entire day with no 5:00 shadow. Finally! That doesn’t mean I shave everyday
during this pandemic, and that is obvious during the second afternoon. But a quick
shave with Harry’s and I’m good for a couple more days.
Today’s Puzzle
Answer at the bottom of the page
With only two days left on
your prescription, you accidentally drop the four remaining pills and they get
mixed up. Unfortunately, the pills look exactly the same and you have no way to
tell them apart.
How can you be sure you
take the correct medication?
