Random Tidbits
People who ate the most
fiber were less likely to die of any cause during a recent study of nearly one
million people.
The finding might be
explained by fiber's potential to lower the risk of chronic diseases including
heart disease, stroke, diabetes and several types of cancer, researchers say.
Dietary fiber (roughage)
is an essential nutrient required for proper digestion of foods, proper
functioning of the digestive tract at large, and for helping you feel full. A
deficiency of fiber can lead to constipation, hemorrhoids, and elevated levels
of cholesterol and sugar in the blood. Conversely, an excess of fiber can lead
to a bowel obstruction, diarrhea, or even dehydration. Individuals who increase
their intake of fiber should also increase their intake of water.

My Rambling Thoughts
Nice day…hoping the clouds will bring some needed
rain.
I watched the PBS 4th of July Special. I’ve
been watching it for decades, and this one was very different due to Covid. It
was still very enjoyable. And it will be a reminder for decades of how our
world has changed due to this virus.
I was cleaning out under my kitchen sink and found a
cleaner for headlights I had purchased long, long ago. I decided to see if it
still worked. It took about 30 minutes of work, but my vehicle headlights look truly
clear. I had been using toothpaste, which took about 15 minutes, but if this treatment
lasts, it is much better. The package sez it will last for months.
Protests are a part of our history. Weird how some peaceful
protesters are shot with rubber bullets and/or tear gassed and/or arrested yet
others are allowed to protest while holding assault rifles with no
consequences. I must wonder why the difference. What am I missing?
Today’s Puzzle

mixed up. Four letters from the first word are now in the third line, four
letters from the third word are in the second line and four letters from the second
word are in the first line. The remaining letters are in their original places.
What are the words?
