My Sometimes-Long-Winded Thoughts
Lots of clouds, cooler temperatures, just enough rain to spot my vehicle.
My trip to the Rez was very reminiscent of years ago. I had a good
drive. My neighbor got his vehicle, I got a great traditional meal. All good.
There were lots of big rigs traveling I-40. A semi had started a brush fire off
the highway which slowed traffic to about 10mph for a good 10 miles. Lots of Lookie
Lous. By the time we finally got there, the fire was out, and a bulldozer was
covering the debris with sand. Gas in Flag is about $2.95, but on I-40 all the
stations were $3.20 or more. I got back about 4:30 and just relaxed.
China has landed a rover on Mars. Interesting.
About 8:30 last night a friend texted to say Flag to see the ISS
[International Space Station] with the naked eye. Sure enough.
This was soon after 60 Minutes did a story on UAP [Unidentified Aerial
Objects]. That is the new government term for UFO’s. It is clear that there are
things up there, they can be seen, no one seems to know where they come from.
Maybe they are other country spies, maybe they are from another world out there.
One thing for sure is that they are not swamp gas or weather balloons from my
youth.
On Saturday there were 4 small forest fires near our town. Hopefully,
we will get some rain for the forest today. My phone just alerted that there is
lightning within 10 miles of my house. Darn.
A local indigenous high school counselor has been awarded the JFK
Profile in Courage Award for his work during the pandemic for helping student’s
families get necessities. Very cool.
