My Sometimes-Long-Winded Thoughts
Our retirement
group had a very long lunch, yesterday. Catching up is great. While we all
worked at the same school for many years, we all have different stories of
happenings there. We all had different friends there even though we all knew
of each person’s existence, we each only knew many of them in the work
environment. Now that
schools are open, so there are school shootings. So sad that North Carolina
had 2 different schools with a shooting yesterday...leaving on dead, one
injured. I wish the parents and others who disrupt meetings to stop mask
mandates used that energy to stop school shootings. Weather guy
says the weather will warm up and be dry…just in time for the Coconino County
fair this weekend. It was cancelled last year, due to COVID, and I’m not sure
if I’m going this year. Covid is still around. I get got a call from my
Doctor and I’ll get my booster on Sept. 15 unless more changes between now
and then. I get that this is all new to everyone, so things change. It is
just hard to do much planning when one day it is ‘no masks if vaccinated’ to’
wear a mask in crowds’, no matter your vaccination status. ‘get the booster
at 8 months, no 5 months if at risk.’ Guess we just have to roll with the
punches.
