My Sometimes-Long-Winded Thoughts
Winter cool
continues.
I headed out
for a trip to Sam’s. Got what I needed and headed home.
I was happy
to read that Dr. Cynthia Chavez Lamar, of San Felipe Pueblo, was named director
of the National Museum of American Indians. She is the first Native director.
Tonga is in
a very difficult position. Before the volcanic eruption, there had been only one
case of Covid on the chain of islands. Now they need a lot of help. Many countries
and the WHO of the UN are not sending workers or aid to help them, for fear of
bringing Covid to the country. What a very tough call.
Tomorrow I
get to do my annual Medicare physical. All us old-er people have to do it. I
have no problem with the physical, but will try not to laugh at some of the
questions…like ‘do you often sit in the dark?’.
