My Sometimes-Long-Winded Thoughts
Chilly
winter day.
Justice
Breyer is retiring at the end of this session. Wonder how the Republicans will
play this to prevent the US President from appointing a new justice? I’m sure
it will be a doozy.
Va. elected
a governor of the Trump persuasion. He has just set up a Parent ‘hotline’ where
parents in Virginia can report any school that is teaching ‘Critical Race
Theory”. Wonder how that will work out? It is not on any approved curriculum
for elementary through high school curriculum anywhere.
My phlebotomy
took forever. I got the needle put in at 1:45 and went upstairs to the blood
doctor’s lab. I had to wait over an hour for the computer to approve the darn phlebotomy.
Then they didn’t have any vacuum bottles and the blood had thickened, so it had
to have saline to open the tube, then without the vacuum, the blood still flowed
slowly. I finally left the lab at 5:15. The office was closed, but the receptionist
was still working. I told her my story and she got the head of personnel. Long
story short, they are a new business and there are bumps and she promised the
next visit will be better. I certainly hope so.
