My
Sometimes-Long-Winded Thoughts
There was a little
over a foot of snow in the last storm. Today the sun is shining, it is still
chilly, and there is little wind. I cleaned off my ride…for the second time in
24 hours…and headed to Sam’s for some stuff I needed. Thanks to our HOA for clearing
the sidewalks and road, thanks to the city crew for cindering our side streets,
and keeping the main roads just wet. It is very impressive. I filled up with
gas at Sam’s and it was $3.55/gal. I’m sure the prices will be rising very
soon.
Ukraine just
became very serious…just like Biden said it would. Watching the people fleeing
is heartbreaking. Most of the people interviewed didn’t expect a real invasion…now
they know it is real. In case you forgot…or, like me, didn’t realize that
Chernobyl is in Ukraine. The local
government just announced that the area is ‘no longer safe’. That is really
frightening. There have been people
around in hazmat suits cleaning the area for decades. Do that mean that the plant
is no longer being controlled? WOW!
