Here is a
new one to watch out for: Ticketmaster is doing ‘dynamic pricing’ for its most
popular concerts. A customer signs in and sees that lower-level seats are $75
for the concert. When they checkout they learn that the price has risen if
there is demand for those seats. The check out price for one guy was $3000 for
two seats that were $100 each when he signed in. Crazy!

Trivia
Squaring a
circle was finally proved to be an impossible problem in 1882 when German
mathematician Ferdinand von Lindemann proved that pi is a transcendental
number. That is; it is not the root of any polynomial with rational
coefficients. Pi is the ratio of a circle's circumference to its diameter, and
without it the problem could not be done.
