Today’s Thoughts
Another
scorcher…glad I have a cooler.
Eli
Crane, US Rep. for my district, has made headlines for calling Blacks ‘Colored
People’. He apologized but it sure rolled off his tongue.
I
had lunch with Faith and Andy today. Chili’s was very busy, which is good to
see. Andy got his brother finally settled at a rehab in Blanding UT. There are
lots of Navajo there and his brother seems to like it. They are also helping
two of his nephews who got jobs in Flag with no place to stay. The 20 something
guys are helping around the house, working as painters in town, and enjoying their
time in Flag. It’s working out very well.
Enjoy
Boomer Slang…
Psychedelic
“Psychedelic”
referred to something as mind-bending or trippy. It was often associated with
the counterculture movement and the exploration of altered states of
consciousness, particularly through the use of psychedelic drugs.
True Conspiracy
Theories…
The
BCCI Scandal
The
Bank of Credit and Commerce International was a corrupt bank that laundered
money for drug cartels, terrorists, and corrupt politicians. Its downfall in
the 1990s exposed widespread corruption in the banking industry.
Random Trivia…
Famous
conqueror Napoleon Bonaparte was once attacked by a horde of bunnies! He had
requested that a rabbit hunt be arranged for himself and his men. When the
rabbits were released from their cages, the bunnies charged toward Bonaparte
and his men in an unstoppable onslaught.
