Today’s Thoughts
Busy week ahead. I’m ready.
I had to pick up some cash today.
Drive thru ATM was not working so had to get out of the car and walk up 7 steps
to get to the outdoor ATM. Took a little time but all good. The receipt from
the drive thru ATM said to call a number. After I got my walk-up money, I sat in
the car and called the number. After having to put in tons of information, I
got a guy. I explained the broken ATM 7 times and each time he said ‘did you
get your cash?’ I asked for a supervisor. She listened and after 2 explanations,
she transferred me to the ‘fraud division’. I explained to her that my card was
fine, the bank’s ATM was not working. I finally explained that I had to use a cane
to climb the steps to get to the outside machine, and I was calling because it
was a real hassle. She was very nice and said the machine fixer should be out
in about an hour. Time will tell.

Beliefs of 60 years
ago… Trivia…
Teens Were Told To Prioritize
Active Dates To Maintain A Healthy And Non-Physical Relationship
During the 60s, the mantra of
"Keep busy so you don't end up getting busy" was popular. Teenagers
were advised to fill their dates with various activities to prevent the
temptation of engaging in physical intimacy, which was considered highly
inappropriate and disgraceful.
Random Trivia…
Shrapnel is named after its inventor. British Army Officer Henry
Shrapnel was the first person to invent an anti-personnel shell that could
transport a large number of bullets to its target before releasing them.
Cleopatra’s reign was closer to the moon landings than the Great
Pyramid being built. The Egyptian royal reigned from 51 BC to 30 BC, roughly
2,500 years after the Great Pyramid of Giza was built and roughly 2,000 years before
the first lunar landings in 1969.
