Today’s Thoughts
It was pretty cold last night but is warming
up nicely.
I
took a nice walk around the compound when it had warmed up a little. Working on
getting back to my 10K steps every day.
PBS
Veterans Day Salute was good last night.
Enjoy
Words pronounced
differently in the North and South States…

This mostly refers to the second syllable in the word,
mainly how the 'a' sounds. Southerners pronounce the word so that the 'a' sound
is long like the 'a' in the word 'father.' Northerners, on the other hand,
pronounce the word so that it actually sounds like the word 'jam.'
Random Trivia…
A Recycled Fact©Shutterstock
There is a swirl of garbage in the Pacific Ocean, roughly
the size of Texas. It's known as the Great Pacific Garbage Patch. While it's
often described as "an island of garbage," the GPGP is more
accurately seen as something like garbage soup: a massive portion of
the ocean with a high concentration of plastics, sludge, and other debris.
It's disgusting. But no reason to despair! There are a
number of wildly innovative and interesting proposals to clean up
the patch. Here's hoping they work out!
