Thoughts for the day

A cloudy day with possible rain. Always enjoy the moisture. I can smell the rain.

Cleaned the bathroom and bedroom, put down new linens and towels.

Senator Joni Ernst of Ohio had a town hall and was questioned about possible upcoming cuts to Medicaid, and she responded: “Well, we are going to die.” Talk about out of touch…

Sorry to hear that Loretta Swit, of M.A.S.H. fame, has passed at 87. She had a very nice and long career and will be missed by many.

Native American Tribal Proverbs

"Cherish the simple things in life, for one day you may look back and realize they were the most important."© One Earth Film Festival

This proverb invites us to find joy in simplicity. It teaches that the simple pleasures often hold the most significant meaning. In our fast-paced world, we may overlook these moments, but they form the essence of happiness.

By paying attention to life’s simple joys, we cultivate gratitude and contentment. This saying encourages us to reflect on what truly matters, reminding us that lasting happiness often comes from cherishing everyday experiences.

It’s a call to slow down and appreciate the beauty of simplicity.

Random Thoughts…

There is a mysterious sound in New Mexico called the “Taos Hum”. Only 2% of the population can hear it, and no one knows where the sound comes from.

Churchill’s Commentary on Man: Man will occasionally stumble over the truth, but most of the time he will pick himself up and continue on as though nothing has happened.

Unknown Civilizations that once ruled the world…

Cimmerians© Ancient World Magazine

The Cimmerians, overshadowed by other nomadic groups, were prominent in the 8th and 7th centuries BCE. Originating from the Eurasian steppes, they were known for their mobility and enigmatic historical presence.

Cimmerians left few written records, making their history obscure yet intriguing. They are mentioned in Assyrian and Greek sources, hinting at their interactions with established empires.

Their decline remains mysterious, but their legacy persists through archeological findings. The artifacts attributed to them offer glimpses into their warrior culture and nomadic lifestyle, perpetuating interest in their elusive history.
