Thoughts for the day
Another non-windy spring day.
Another town I enjoyed that is no unsafe to travel: Cape Town, South
Africa is #2 on that list.
In this alternative universe we live in, the President of South Africa is
visiting the White House. Recently, Trump allowed almost 50 white South Afrikaner
farmers refugee status because of the ‘genocide’ in South Africa, while denying
Afghans who helped us during the war the same status. The meeting during the
press conference became tense several times. South Africa wants more trade. The
South African President pushed to get that, complimented Trump several times,
and fully denied any genocide of White farmers in South Africa.
UNICEF is saying that contrary to news reports, only a tiny amount of humanitarian
aide is getting to the starving and sick people in Gaza. This is all on Israel.
Compassion is needed now and into the future.
Native American Tribal Proverbs
"When you were born, you
cried and the world rejoiced. Live your life so that when you die, the world
cries and you rejoice." © Charleston County Public Library
This powerful proverb inspires
us to live a life full of purpose and joy. It encourages us to make a positive
impact on others’ lives. By living authentically and generously, we can leave a
legacy that is cherished by those we leave behind.
This saying reminds us to strive for fulfillment, so that when our time comes, we can look back with satisfaction. It’s a call to live in a way that honors our existence and enriches the lives of those around us, creating lasting happiness.
Random Thoughts…
Australia’s Dingoes are actually ancient stray dogs.
If life is unfair for everyone, then life is fair.
Unknown Civilizations that once ruled the world…
Kingdom of Punt © Owlcation
The Kingdom of Punt, often
termed "God’s Land" by the Egyptians, was a mysterious trading
partner existing around the 15th century BCE. Renowned for exporting exotic
goods like myrrh and frankincense, Punt played a pivotal role in ancient trade
networks.
Located possibly around the
Horn of Africa, it remains an archaeological enigma, with its exact location
still debated among scholars. Egyptian records depict grand expeditions to
Punt, underscoring its significance.
Although much about Punt
remains unknown, its reputation as a land of wealth and mystery continues to
captivate historians and adventurers alike.
