Thoughts for the day
A little breezy today.
I finished my reading and am ready for a good discussion today on the
issues around climate change in the turmoil of the world. My short takeaway is
that there is still time, but the world needs to get much more serious about
climate change. There are the politicians, the NGO’s, and the numerous organizations
that are working on a climate solution.
I am feeling very good today and ready to conquer the world.
Each day it becomes more difficult to understand what is happening in
Gaza, Iran, Congo, and other violent places. The news from those areas and more
is seldom positive. The world needs a ‘big picture’ politician to lead us out
of this mess.
Historic Figures who never existed…
St. Christopher©Domenico
Ghirlandaio on Wikimedia
A revered figure in
Christianity, St. Christopher is often regarded as the "patron saint of
travelers," as he'd devoted his life to carrying the weak and poor across
a river. As the legend goes, he was transporting a child on his shoulders one
night, who—initially unbeknownst to him—turned out to be Christ, symbolizing
that St. Christopher was bearing the weight of the world. Despite the tale
becoming widespread and recounted in biographical texts, no evidence proves his
existence, and he was later removed from the Catholic Church's universal
calendar.
