Thoughts for the day
A nice sunny spring day.
The current Trump vs Musk social media engagement reminds me of ;the
adolescent life I saw while teaching. I guess boys will be boys.
My brother and his wife are visiting Chicago. They decided to bring
burner phones on this trip. A friend of theirs was held up at a US airport when
the agent commented that the friend, an American citizen, had been making a lot
of trips between the US and Mexico. It took several hours before he was released.
This is becoming more and more unbelievable.
No rain in our forecast, becoming a typical late spring.
Historic Figures who never existed…
King Arthur ©Charles Ernest Butler on Wikimedia
You're likely familiar with the tale of King
Arthur, the ruler of Camelot who enlisted the help of a wizard named Merlin and
fought alongside the Knights of the Round Table. Though the legend certainly
makes for a great tale, King Arthur may have never actually existed. Historians
aren't sure whether the epic poems and stories written about him were based on
a real person or originated from pure folklore.
Random Thoughts…
A group of Pheasants (at rest) is called a Nest or Nye or Nide. A group
of Pheasants (in flight) is called a Bouquet.
J.R.R. Tolkien’s real name was John Ronald Reuel Tolkien, and he was a
close friend of C.S. Lewis and W. H. Auden.
If you do what you love, success is almost guaranteed.
