It is now officially light jacket in the morning.

I got my shot this morning…all good.

On Sunday the Cardinals beat the Dolphins in a nail biter. The Broncos beat the Panthers. A good Sunday.

Donald was late to his Madison Square Garden rally. While everyone waited, the speakers sure put forth a very serious view of America. One called Kamala a prostitute, another said that Puerto Rico was a floating garbage island…even though Puerto Rico is part of the US and their citizens can and do vote. Remember Trump tossed paper towels after a hurricane. Trump did not apologize for any of the comments made by previous speakers. His campaign is trying, unsuccessfully, to step it all back. This rally alone proves to me that Trump is not fit to be President of this country.

Thoughts for the day

The sun is shining through high wispy clouds. Nice warm day.

I’m finally doing laundry from my trip. All my dirty clothes were in a mesh bag. I put it in the laundry room and remembered it this morning when I brought down some dirty clothes.

Tomorrow, I will see my urologist for a shot and in the afternoon I have a phlebotomy. It will be a busy day.

Many states have been busy changing election protocols. I hope we don’t have another 2020 after election mess.

My brother and his wife are in Houston. It is business with a little time for fun. Good for them.

Thoughts for the day

I read my articles and was putting finishing touches on my presentation today when I got a call that the host and his wife both tested positive for Covid. They had just returned from a Road Scholar trip. He had sent out an email and was not following up with a phone call. It’s OK, I’ll do it at our next meeting.

I grew up with the Rocky Mountain News and the Denver Post being delivered every day. My dad even trained our dogs to bring the paper in when it came. During the last days before an election, both parents (1 a Dem, 1 a Rep) would review who both papers endorsement and then make up their own minds.  I know it was only for perspective.

I was surprised when major newspapers announced they were not endorsing a candidate for president in this election. At least one of these papers leans left. I’m not sure if it just billionaires sticking together, or a fear that if they don’t endorse Trump, and Trump wins, they will pay a huge price. I don’t recognize this kind of journalism and to be honest, I fear for the free press…and maybe the Constitution if Trump is elected.
