My Rambling Thoughts
I had lunch with Mary yesterday and it lasted much longer than either of expected. Good conversation, good time. She leaves Sat. for 3 weeks at her beach house in Oregon. Thus no posting yesterday.

Woke up to a cloudy day. Headed out to do some shopping. Suddenly lightning and loud thunder. Checked my weather app and the lightning was 0.1mi away. It said in big bold letters: Seek Shelter Immediately. I ran to the store and waited for the lightning to subside while I shopped. I got what I needed and headed home. Amazing, I was 6 miles from the store and the nearest lighting was now 0.2 miles away. Guess there is a lot of lightning everywhere from this storm. Not complaining as we love the moisture here in the high desert. It’s now been raining for about an hour with no end in sight, sometimes a drizzle, sometimes a hard rain.

Got a call from my college roommate/HS friend who was encouraging me to set aside some days in Sept. for our 50th HS reunion. Wow! Time sure flies. Still thinking about it. It was a good time in HS, but such greater times were ahead, I’m still not sure if I want to return. Time will tell, if it doesn’t fly by too fast.

All ‘data’ info is from the internet sites and is usually checked with at least one other source, but I have learned that every site contains mistakes and sadly once the information is out there, many sites simply copy it and is therefore difficult to verify. Also for events occurring before the Gregorian calendar was adopted [1582] the dates may not be totally accurate.
