My Sometimes-Long-Winded Thoughts

Typical fall day. Headed out to Sam’s for some needed necessities.

Mary called. She and her family went to see Hamilton in Phoenix. She said it was great. Her four pre-teen grandkids enjoyed it. After it started, a 30ish man in the row behind them refused to put on his mask. The ushers had to drag him out, while he was screaming the ‘F’ word at the top of his lungs. It made quite an impression on the grandkids. After they got back to her son’s house, Mary, the teacher, asked the grandkids: What was the best part of the play? They all agreed it was the scary crazy guy who cussed a lot…Kids!

The first all-Black American team will be trying to conquer Mount Everest next year. Cool.

Joy Harjo of Oklahoma, the first Native American woman to serve as the nation’s poet laureate, has begun her third term – an honor previously bestowed only once. Very cool.

For years I get an email from MDV to renew my vehicle plate. I realized on the 15th that I hadn’t gotten one. I went on line and renewed and made sure I checked the box to get next years notice. The little tag came in the mail yesterday, so I’m all good. Either I’m living right or I got very lucky.

Congress is busy doing very little…again.  I’ve seen this movie too many times. They will either find a solution now or the government will shut down for a few days, then they will find a solution. I don’t like being played. The politicians are to blame, and the media enjoys feeding the fire of worst-case scenario.
