Trivia
Aluminum is pretty amazing. Not only
is it naturally non-toxic and durable, but of the most commonly recycled
materials, aluminum is the only material that is infinitely recyclable. What
this means is that once produced, it can be recycled over and over and over
without any loss in quality. What are the other qualities and abilities of
this miracle metal? Aluminum is the third most common
element in the Earth's crust and the most abundantly available metal on
Earth. Two-thirds of the aluminum ever produced is still in use today. Aluminum is very difficult to refine
from its natural form. A method wasn't discovered until 1825, and for decades
it was so expensive that aluminum was worth more than gold. |
My Sometimes-Long-Winded
Thoughts
I was
awakened about 2am to lots of lightning and thunder. Soon there was lots of
rain. It has been raining on and off all day. This is making the forest very
happy. It has
been way too long since my last pedicure. The lady who has been doing my toes
for years was upset and in her broken English said things at the salon were
not good. When I went in this morning there was a totally new staff. A young
lady did a nice job, and my feet are very happy. She said the new staff came
in about 3 weeks ago. Hmmm. Tomorrow
I get my booster. Things are going well. From the
posts, the first Focus Travel Club adventure of 2021 was a big success. They
went to New England to see the fall colors. Lots of beauty for sure. And a
great start to the return of Focus post Covid. |
