My
Sometimes-Long-Winded Thoughts
A nice warm
day with very little wind. Nice!
The weirdness
continues. Canadian truckers and others continue to block roads and demand
freedom from Covid. Now their protest is preventing traffic of goods…like auto
parts…are causing the major car makers to slow and/or stop production because they
don’t have the parts. Who knew we got auto parts from Canada to make cars in
the US? To add to the this the DHS has
issued warnings that these protests could also make it to the Super Bowl festivities
and the State of the Union address. I’m all for ending Covid. I just don’t see
how blocking roads and shipments is going to stop the virus. I do see how it
will increase inflation and hurt Americans with jobs in the auto industry.
The Olympics
just keep having some great moments. Some great events yesterday.
When I get
up around 7am, I head to my computer and turn on GMA for the news. That’s when
I heard that 9 police officers from Phoenix were shot around 3am while
responding to a domestic disturbance. Luckily, all the police are expected to
survive, and a 6-month-old child who was being held in the house was not injured.
The suspect is dead. Tragic. Reports say this is the worst officer shooting
incident in AZ history.
