My
Sometimes-Long-Winded Thoughts
Awoke to a
cold day with none of the expected snow. Deep blue sky has not a cloud in site.
It’s cold here, but the Denver area is even colder. Many of the Front Range
schools are closed in Colorado. Back in my school days, Jeffco only closed
once…and that was because of over 3’ of snow and I think the school was closed
for only one day…two at the most. And yes, we had to walk up and down a hill to
school and up and down a hill to get home.
There have
been bomb scares at numerous Black Colleges and Universities both Monday and
Tuesday. Not the Black History Month I had hoped for.
Ground Hog
Day is a two’s day this year…Tuesday 2/2/22. Hope you enjoy.
Pat Bowlen
owned the Broncos for as long as I can remember. With his June 2019 passing at
75 from a pulmonary embolism, change of ownership was expected. It was
announced that it is going up for sale soon. Many expect the sale to be around
$4billion, making it the most expensive sports team sale in history. I went to
high school with Dave Logan, and he said “I want somebody who has a vested
interest, and somebody who is competitive and wants as much as the GM, and the
coaching staff and the players to bring championship caliber football back to
Denver…” Sure sounds good to me.
Whoopi is on
2-week suspension for her holocaust statements. I knew it wasn’t over
yesterday.
The lunar
new year is also celebrated in Mongolia. Tsagaan Sar, Mongolian Lunar New Year!
