My Sometimes-Long-Winded Thoughts
Still a cool
fall day.
Yesterday
was very busy, thus no posting. I had lunch with Mary and Mike. Good food, good
conversation. Then I had an afternoon medical appointment for my annual heart
check. All good. It was a simple, ultra-sound.
What is
happening…a guy broke into Nancy Pelosi’s home and her husband was attacked
with a hammer. The police say they have the intruder and that her husband will
recover. This is so ‘not the America I grew up in.’
Our discussion
group meets tomorrow night for a discussion on Myanmar Today. I will be leading
the discussion. Today’s Myanmar is not the Burma we all learned about in
school. They have had a sad history of
trying to become democratic after British rule ended decades ago.
Twitter is
now run by Elon Musk. His first action to was fire many of the top officials.
Hmmm.
