My Sometimes-Long-Winded Thoughts
Another nice
fall day.
I’m ready
for the discussion group. I have always been interested in Burma. Sadly, it is
no longer a democracy, and the people of Myanmar are suffering under the brutal
regime. Focus tried to set up a river cruise there years ago, but the trip
would have been twice as expensive and visits to other nearby countries. It is
still on my bucket list when it is much safer.
The violence
against the spouse of an elected leader should never happen. It is disheartening
that there are citizens of this country that believe violence is the answer to
political disagreements. Some violence has been present since this country’s
birth, but it sure seems to be getting worse.

Best Instrumentals
"Misirlou" by Dick Dale and His Del-Tones (1962)
Known as the
"King of the Surf Guitar," the late Dale inspired many young, budding
musicians (such as Brian May, Jimi Hendrix, and Eddie Van Halen) to pick up a
guitar. A master of the reverb, Dale, who favored the Fender brand, enjoyed
some renewed popularity when "Miserlou" was prominently used in the
1994 Quentin Tarantino smash Pulp Fiction.
Humor…
Any married person should forget his mistakes.
No use two people remembering the same thing.
