Today’s Thoughts
I
did a quick phlebotomy this afternoon. Went well. Happy Camper.
I
woke up Sunday with Ball’s Plassey. I saw the doctor this morning. Have some
meds and it should be gone by Friday. Here’s hoping. It is not a look I want to
keep. No pain, which is good.
Cuba
and great boxers is historical. I just learned that Castro had outlawed all Professional
Boxing because it took advantage of young boxers that gave money to the owners.
Today Cuba has now OK’d some professional boxing in Cuba.
Yesterday,
Ricky Fowler, the Navajo golfer won the Rocket Mortgage Classic in Detroit.
Congrats
Enjoy`
Idioms explained…
Head
in the Clouds
In
the early 1600s, this phrase was used to describe a person who was really
disconnected from the real world.
Clouds
are associated with heaven, as well as fog and fuzziness, and clouds are also
high up in the sky. Someone with their “head in the clouds” has lost sight of
reality on the ground and has entered a dream-like state.
Random Trivia…
Bats are the only mammal that can actually fly.
Wombats are the only animal whose poop is cube-shaped. This is
due to how its intestines form the feces. The animals then stack the cubes to
mark their territory. (bbc.com)
