The Electoral College met yesterday
with no issues. Hmmm.
About 3 weeks ago I got an email from
my local NPR station that my sustaining contribution of $35/month was not
processed because the card had expired. I called and left a message, called
again about a week ago with another message. Today I got a call as she had been
out of the office for some time. I updated my card information and gave her a
newer email address and my cell number. Their records still had my Tuba phone
number. All good now.

Santa Claus Lives at the North Pole© YouTube
Many envision Santa Claus residing in an icy abode at the
North Pole, surrounded by hardworking elves. This charming tale, however, is a
fabrication. Santa's origins trace back to Saint Nicholas of Myra, a fourth-century
Greek bishop known for generosity.
The North Pole connection emerged in the 19th century,
popularized by writers and illustrators capturing imaginations. Yet, the true
spirit of Santa transcends geography, embodying giving and kindness globally.
This myth reminds us to focus on the values Santa represents,
rather than fixating on fictional addresses.

If I owned a fast food restaurant I
would have an extra button for the teller to push if the person said “Please”
or was kind. That way the cooks could know to add extra fries or something
small since the person was so nice.

Ancient Roman Life
The lives of Roman emperors were characterized by privilege
but also by danger. They were involved in constant power struggles and often
had to contend with plotting, assassination attempts, and shifting political
alliances. Despite their opulent lifestyles and absolute power, being an
emperor was a risky and often deadly position, with many meeting violent ends.
The history of Roman emperors is filled with tales of extravagance, cruelty,
and sometimes madness, reflecting the tumultuous and often brutal nature of
Roman political life.
